Steel arrives!

The big crane, which will be used for erecting the steel frame, first does duty unloading the first batch of steel from the delivery truck.

Ground work continues even as steel erection begins.  Here, drainage pipes come up where the TACC computer room will be.

 

Construction of an interior grade beam that will serve as an anchor for the wind braces

 

More progress on constructing the elevator shafts and pit.  Note worker's hard hat poking up at right side of pit - it's deep!
