Scientific Interests:
- Paleoclimate and -environmental reconstruction of high-resolution lacustrine and marine sediments using multi-proxy approaches (chemical and physical properties, micro-facies analyses)
- Natural hazard events analyses (extreme-droughts, landslides, paleo-tsunami and storm-events, volcanic explosive eruptions, paleo-earthquakes)
- Dating of Quaternary sediments (i.e. 14C, 210Pb, tephrochronology)
- Development of lake coring techniques
- Tephrostratigraphy of Late Quaternary deposits in terrestrial, lacustrine, and marine environments

UTIG Supervisors: Kirk McIntosh and Paul Mann
