LAK-20092009 Latin American Colloquium6-9 April, 2009 We cordially invite you to the 21. Latin American Colloquium LAK-2009, which will be held April 6 to 9 in Göttingen, Germany. The LAK is organised biannually by a working group of the Germany Research Foundation (DFG, http://www.lag-dfg.de/) to bring together geoscientist on research in Latin America. We intend to bring together researchers from all fields of earth sciences and present an attractive program on the geological evolution of the South American continents and its margins, processes of mountain building, uplift and erosion as well as interaction between tectonic and climatic parameters. We also invite contributions from related topics such as natural resources, geo-hazards and economic geology. You can pre-register at our LAK-2009 website where you will be provided with further information on the meeting venue, the university and city of Göttingen, hotel reservation, dates for registration and abstract submission. Göttingen is one of the famous German university towns where among many other famous scientists - Alexander von Humboldt did his geological studies.
